Soul Contracts: Finding Purpose Through Our Pain

As souls, we made the decision to come here and have a human experience. In doing so, we knew it would include human emotions. There would be joy, happiness, bliss and abundance. But there could also be hardship, struggle, pain and scarcity. We chose to come here and experience the lessons and challenges in the human form and to find purpose in the pain and problems we would encounter.

Throughout this journey we shift, expand, grow, release, receive and learn through the shadows, as much as the light. We learn to discern what no longer fits our belief systems and begin to remember the knowledge we came here with. In coming here, we did not come alone.

We made soul contracts.

On a soul level we made agreements and asked people to show up for us in this lifetime. We asked them to help us clear out, up-level and expand. And we too made soul contracts to show up for others and support them in their expansion and growth.

Many times we do not recognize the people who have agreed to show up for us; who love us so very deeply on a soul level. We don't recognize them because we can't see past the pain. Those souls love us so deeply that they accepted the hardest jobs.

They have chosen to shake us up. Disappoint us. Reject us. Cheat on us. Judge us.

This was not an easy choice to make, but we asked them and they agreed. We created a soul contract in order to help us move past limiting beliefs that we knew we couldn't achieve alone.

They loved us enough to volunteer for the job.

A Course in Miracles defines a miracle as a shift in perception. We will be spending the next 30 minutes experiencing the miracle of understanding soul contracts and remembering to find the purpose in our pain.
